Genealogy Sites
Ancestry.com - A subscription based provider of access to a continually growing list of databases. The largest and most commonly used subscription search site. Useful genealogy research information and suggestions in the Learning Center.
OneGreatFamily - A subscription based service to build a family tree with others by importing or inputting information. Software at One Great Family will search for connections in multiple databases and offer results as suggestions to continue to build on information previously gathered. An extended family can work collaboratively in the same tree. This service can be used in conjunction with information obtained at Ancestry.com.
Cyndislist.com - Cyndi's List is the largest list of genealogy resource sites on the web.
National Archives - The National Archives offers a list of independent genealogy researchers at this link.
FamilySearch.org - The Mormon Church is well known for its commitment to genealogy research and its extensive free databases. This site is a good place to start your genealogy project as it contains useful guidance and a large amount of free information.
USGenWeb.org - This is the website of a volunteer driven organization and contains useful guidance and contact information to many local research sources.
